At Community Christian School, we are blessed with a strong, supportive community that believes in our mission of providing a Christ-centered education that nurtures both the mind and spirit. As we embark on our capital campaign to expand our campus with a new gymnasium that will also serve as a community center, field house, and additional classrooms, we invite you to join us in shaping the future of our students. As of December 1, 2025, we have reached $618,047 in donations and pledges. We will update this page regularly with progress towards our goal. We would like to see 1.5 to 2 million in our capital campaign fund before building a gym. Thank you to all our gala sponsors, donors, and those who have pledged since attending the Spring Gala. PRAY
First and foremost we need your prayers. We know that with God and through God, all things are possible. This includes funding to help to help further His Kingdom and mission here in Wilson and surrounding communities. Ask God how you can help financially reach our goals.
OPPORTUNITY
Learn more about the Opportunity Scholarship. If your student is one of the over 300 students that receive scholarship funds, consider donating a portion of that back to the school for the capital campaign. The scholarship is a blessing to you, let it bless CCS. If you have any questions, reach out to a member of the development committee.
DECREASE SPENDING
There are several ways we can all reduce spending and save a little extra each month to donate towards the campaign. Just eliminating one family meal at a restaurant per week adds up to almost $500 a month.
CONNECTIONS
Do you know someone—maybe a friend or local business owner—who might be interested in supporting our capital campaign? If so, please connect them with a member of our development committee. We’d love the opportunity to share how they can get involved and make a lasting impact.

How will this gym help us be a light in our community?
This gym will be more than just a building—it will be a beacon. By opening its doors to host not only CCS events but also local gatherings, chapel services, athletic tournaments, worship nights, and outreach programs, we’re creating a space where people can experience the love of Christ in real, tangible ways. It gives us the opportunity to invite others in, meet needs, and build relationships—all while pointing hearts toward Jesus.
My child doesn't play sports so why should I give?
That’s a great question—and an important one. While athletics is a big part of this project, this gym is being designed for every CCS student. It will be used daily for physical education classes, school assemblies, chapel services, fine arts performances, student programs, and more. Whether your child is on the basketball court, performing on stage, or worshiping during chapel, this space will enrich their overall experience at CCS.

When can we start building?
We need $1.5 to $2 million in capital campaign funds, pledges, and equity to break ground. We maintain close contact with our bank and will make an announcement as soon as the funds are in place.
The bank also had enrollment growth numbers that we needed to reach. We are thankful that God has led many new families to CCS, and we have exceeded those numbers.
How can I help?
Pray and ask God how you and your family can contribute to the campaign. Community Christian is a family, and we need everyone in our community to donate. No amount is too small. Every gift counts in helping to build His kingdom. Also, pray for God to work on the hearts of potential donors.
Board Committment
As the CCS Board, we are united in our full commitment to seeing this gym project through to completion. We believe wholeheartedly in the impact it will have—not only on our current students, but for generations to come. This space will serve as a hub for growth, worship, community, and connection, reflecting our mission to glorify God in all we do.
